Joelle is a trainer at Solid K9. She works with the board and train dogs, and dogs have always been one of her passions. She grew up always having a pack of dogs in the household, and she found at a young age she had a way with animals. It wasn’t long after getting her first working line German Shepherd that she realized dog training was something she wanted to pursue. Joelle began attending Jeff’s dog training seminars, she is a T3 graduate, and she completed a two month internship with solid k9 before becoming a permanent part of the team. Every day is a new opportunity to learn and grow, as Joelle believes that Dog trainers are forever students. When she is not training dogs, you can find her outdoors enjoying nature with her two dogs or in the gym. She is a fitness enthusiast and certified personal trainer. She loves working with humans just as much as she does dogs, and she is truly passionate about her work.
COURTNEY | TRAINER
Courtney is one of the newest members of the Solid K9 team! As a child she always wanted to study the behavior of different dog breeds and spent all of her allowance on breed specific books. Her journey to becoming a trainer at Solid K9 started 10 years ago with behavior modification and K9 Nosework. She spent years honing in on her behavior modification and scentwork skills before becoming a Bed Bug Detection K9 handler in the Bay Area, California. Now she’s back on the East Coast hoping to share everything she has learned over the years with you and your dogs!

Mackenzie had originally gone off to college for film editing. Life happened and she ended up changing paths. Right before she went off to college, her family had gotten a puppy. When she returned back after four years, she noticed that their dog had unwanted behavior (leash reactivity and aggression issues). She ended up working at a doggie daycare, where a co-worker recommended Jeff’s videos. She started watching his videos and implemented them into her and her dogs life. About a two years ago she was listening to WWJD and heard that SK9 was looking for a video editor. She reached out to Jeff about helping out with editing. She is now part of the Sk9 family working part-time as a video editor. In her free time, Mackenzie likes to play fetch with her dog and work on his training since he still has some places to improve on.
